Why We Designed This

Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows quickly and sequesters carbon, unlike steel which produces carbon.

The Hide-away Shelf has a natural aesthetic suited for neutral and early childhood environments. This shelf is both a storage and activity center. The top shelf is at a height that is easily accessible to early childhood students to play, and the two shelves below offer storage for other classroom supplies and toys. The Hide-away panel is not only a magnetic whiteboard but, it functions as a cover to allow educators to display certain toys and supplies and hide when needed. The Hide-away Panel can be stored and used on the back of the shelf when not in use on the front.

For every bamboo product purchased, Copernicus will make a donation to conserve natural panda habitat through the World Wildlife Fund.

Low-carbon footprint bamboo construction
Our finish is a nitrocellulose lacquer. Lacquers are a popular finish type for furniture and the preferred choice of professional furniture makers. Lacquers provide a clear, durable, and water-resistant finish, that protects the base material while also enhancing its appearance.

Design

The majority of this product can be disassembled into individual materials for proper disposal at the end of life.
Made from bamboo, a renewable resource. We purchase our bamboo material from FSC certified suppliers.
For every bamboo product purchased, we will make a donation to conserve natural panda habitat through the World Wildlife Fund.
Have a part that needs replacing? Keep your product in use longer, rather than sending your entire product to the landfill by using our Replacement Parts Program.
